Teaching Activity of the Department
The undergraduate students are trained to:
- Acquire skills in identification and carving of primary & permanent teeth.
- Develop skills in age estimation using plaster casts of different age groups,
- Identify dental anomalies through specimens and plaster casts and microscopic identifications of oral tissues as well as common oral lesions.
- Identify pathologic conditions clinically and microscopically
Students are vigilantly observed, assessed and trained with regular class-tests and internal examinations.
The post-graduate course in the Department of Oral Pathology was started in the year 2015.
- At the postgraduate level a three year program is offered to the students which make the candidate proficient in routine cytological and histopathological procedures.
- Knowledge about recent sophisticated research instrumentation is also imparted to the students.
- The department encourages students to participate in national events.
